Something to smile about!
Today our pupils enjoyed a fun and engaging visit from Nurse Paula who helped bring the importance of dental health to life in a way that was both informative and engaging. The session was filled with interactive discussions, demonstrations and plenty of opportunities for the children to ask questions and share their own experiences.
Children learned why taking care of their teeth is so important, including how regular brushing, flossing and dental check-ups help to keep their smiles healthy and strong. They were especially interested in discovering how sugar can affect teeth and how making healthier choices can prevent tooth decay.
As part of our Nourish to Flourish initiative (part funded by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council) the session also highlighted the strong connection between a healthy diet and good dental hygiene. Pupils explored how nutritious foods such as fruits, vegetables and dairy products can support strong teeth.
It was wonderful to see the children so engaged and enthusiastic. Experiences like this not only support their understanding of health and wellbeing but also empower them to make positive choices every day.
We would like to thank Nurse Paula for delivering such an enjoyable and informative session, helping our pupils to build healthy habits that will last a lifetime.
