Brookeborough PS 60th Anniversary Fete
19th Jun 2025
This we year Brookeborough PS celebrated its 60th birthday!
The PTFA group of the school organised a super fete, with games, bouncy castles, live music with Fermanagh Concert Band, Brookeborough parade band and even Mr Young the principal bashing out tunes like Ed Sheeran! Each class also performed a song from the 1960s with Mr Young along with a fancy dress parade, judged by the school's former principal Miss Gardiner. Former staff were invited along with staff and children from St Mary's up the hill.
There was also a super BBQ and displays of photos of the school, pupils and teachers from the past 60 years. Lord Brookeborough also attended as he is a keen supporter of both Brookeborough PS and St Mary's PS in the village. It was a true community wide event, the weather was glorious and it was a great way to celebrate the school's 60th birthday. 2025 has been a good year for the school with a very positive inspection report in January highlighting the school's caring family ethos, high standards and joyous atmosphere.
