Sun-sational Learning in Foundation Stage!

23rd Apr 2026

Our Foundation Stage children made the most of the beautiful sunshine today with a fantastic session of outdoor learning. Smiles were everywhere as the pupils took their lessons outside, combining fresh air, movement and creativity in a truly engaging way.

Outdoor play is such an important part of early learning. It supports children’s physical health, builds confidence, encourages teamwork and allows imaginations to flourish. Being outside also helps improve focus and wellbeing, making learning both fun and meaningful.

Today’s activities included a mix of active games, creative tasks and hands-on exploration, all carefully planned to support key learning goals in a relaxed and joyful environment. The children showed great enthusiasm, curiosity and cooperation throughout.

A special thank you goes to Mrs Robinson, whose skill and creativity brought today’s outdoor learning to life. Her ability to take classroom experiences outside and turn them into engaging, purposeful activities is truly valued and makes a lasting difference to the children’s learning.

Well done to all our FS pupils for their fantastic attitude and energy today—we’re already looking forward to our next day of learning in the sunshine!
